Ketel Marte further bolstered his case for starting as the National League second baseman in the 2024 All-Star game with three consecutive multi-hit games over the weekend. This included a 3-for-4 performance on a day when fans were treated with a Marte bobblehead.

In June, Ketel posted a 1.057 OPS, smashed 7 home runs, and drove in 19 runs.
Currently, Marte holds a narrow lead over the Padres’ Luis Arraez in the NL All-Star voting for starting second baseman, with 55% of the votes in Phase 2, which began on Sunday.

Fans can vote up until Wednesday at 12 pm ET, the results will then be announced at 7 pm ET.
If Marte does end up beating out Arraez in Phase 2, he will become the 2nd player in D-backs’ history to win the fan vote throughout both rounds, joining Paul Goldschmidt.
