Moreno set a Diamondbacks franchise record by reaching base safely in his 45th consecutive start during the club’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, extending one of the most consistent offensive stretches in team history. The milestone came resoundingly when the catcher launched a two-run home run in the fourth inning, helping Arizona build momentum in the series finale.

The homer also extended his active on-base streak to 26 consecutive games, the longest current streak in MLB. Throughout the run, Moreno has provided the D-Backs with steady contributions near the top and middle of the lineup, pairing more patient at-bats with timely contact.

The 45 consecutive starts reaching base surpassed teammate and fellow young star Corbin Carroll’s franchise record, which he set during the 2024 season.

The timing of Moreno’s consistency is especially important during one of the most crucial road trips of Arizona’s season, which could determine its positioning in the National League Wild Card race. With Moreno’s bat, the Snakes have been able to secure key wins and swing momentum back in their favor against top opponents.
