After a packed day of games at Dream City High School in Glendale, it ended with a nail-biter between Dream City Christian and Utah Prep.
After leading by up to 17 points in the first half, Dream City allowed Utah to climb back and even lead with under a minute to go in the fourth.
However, sophomore and nationally-ranked guard Ikenna Alozie hit two clutch free throws for Dream City putting them up 70-69.
Utah Prep’s JJ Mandaquit then went up for a floater and missed. Many in the building believed he was clearly fouled on the play.
Player Of The Game
The Player of the Game was given to junior forward Alejandro Aviles.
Aviles put up 15 points and seven rebounds, as he was crucial to the team’s victory on Saturday.
He is currently the No. 4 ranked player in the entire state from the class of 2025, according to 247Sports.
Day Three
With the first two days wrapped up, it is now time to focus on the final day of The Grind Session in Phoenix.
