MINNESOTA – Kyler Murray appears to have officially turned the page on his time with the Arizona Cardinals. During a media session in Minnesota, Murray was asked about Arizona moving on from him. He isn’t worried about the Cardinals. His focus is on Minnesota, and he said he is glad to be there. That answer might seem simple, but it represents something bigger.

That may actually be the healthiest outcome for both sides. Murray has a chance to establish himself in a new environment without constantly answering questions about Arizona. Meanwhile, the Cardinals can build their next chapter without having their franchise continually defined by their former quarterback and No. 1 overall draft pick.

The question of whether Arizona had made the right decision won’t be answered until the season starts. That answer will become increasingly difficult to avoid if Murray thrives in Minnesota. Every strong performance will invite comparisons, while every setback could reinforce Arizona’s decision. That’s the emotional reality of moving on from a former franchise quarterback: The separation may be clean, but the evaluation never really ends.

For Cardinals fans, Murray’s Minnesota chapter is worth watching, not because Arizona should still be focused on him, but because his success or failure will help shape how the franchise’s biggest decision of the past several years is ultimately remembered.
