The roof was closed, the air was loud, and the baseball lines were gone. Chase Field didn’t just host New Mexico vs. Minnesota for the 2025 Rate Bowl; it absorbed them. Minnesota’s maroon met New Mexico’s teal in packed light-rail cars, bars, and plazas hours before kickoff. Inside the stadium, the sound didn’t dissipate upward as it does in open-air venues; it ricocheted.
