Right-hander Justin Martinez and outfielder Jordan Lawlar are present in the clubhouse at Fenway Park after both players finished their respective rehab assignments.
Getting Martinez and Lawlar back comes at the right time as Arizona continues to build momentum with the final stretch of the season in full swing. The club finished with a 2-1 series win over the Atlanta Braves to start its road trip, and with Boston also looking to secure its own postseason berth, it will be imperative for the Diamondbacks to have anyone and everyone who can make an immediate impact available to contribute.

For Martinez, the return marks the end of a lengthy recovery. The right-hander has been sidelined for more than a year after undergoing Tommy John surgery that ended his 2025 season in June. Lawlar, meanwhile, is returning after sustaining a right hamstring injury in mid-June.
Their returns could become even more significant as the D-Backs continue to deal with injuries to their current players, especially third baseman Nolan Arenado. Arenado was removed from the series finale against Atlanta after sustaining left trunk discomfort, but was not moved to the injured list.
