Booker’s seven points in the first quarter of Game 3 have helped him surpass Suns legend Steve Nash on the postseason scoring list. Nash made 1,365 points in the postseason with Phoenix. Booker’s seven moved him up to 1,367 and counting.
Many fans took to social media to celebrate another milestone in the franchise cornerstone’s career, acknowledging that achievement is important, there’s still work left to do in the playoffs if they want to move past the reigning champions.

History made 👏🏽 feels almost as real as the time I saw Fitz break the Cards’ record in our loss against the Lions a while back, but this time we’re fighting a biased whistle

Booker only continues to make his mark in the Valley, already holding the franchise record for a variety of different scoring records — including all-time scoring in the regular season. This achievement is reflective of the many times the All-Star has helped carry the Suns to a potential title, and still doing so in year 11.
Beyond the points is also an element of durability. Booker has always been known to be a workhorse within the organization and among fans. But for him to slide up to the scoring ranks among some of the best a Suns uniform puts into perspective what he can still do as a long-term veteran.

As Phoenix continues to fight back down 2-0 against Oklahoma City, Booker’s contributions will remain relevant not just for this series, but for franchise history as he looks to surpass one more legend to become the leading scorer in Suns postseason history.
