Devin Booker goes off for Phoenix Suns on Monday night:
2nd longest streak for Booker and 2nd longest in Suns history.
He scored 25 straight against the New Orleans Pelicans on Dec. 17, 2022. That’s the Suns record for most consecutive points in a single game. #Suns https://t.co/Z0eUDsKVCl

On a roster built around star power, the Phoenix Suns still have one gravitational center when the offense needs it the most with their star shooting guard Devin Booker. His latest reminder on Monday night came against Boston, when Booker poured in 23 consecutive points, the second-longest scoring streak in Suns history and the second-longest of his career. Is the only stretch longer? The night he scored 25 straight against the New Orleans Pelicans on Dec. 17, 2022, he set a franchise record for consecutive points in a single game.

Boston remains one of the NBA’s most disciplined defensive teams that are built on switching, length, and forcing stars into uncomfortable shots. Yet during Booker’s scoring run, the Celtics’ system temporarily broke down. Phoenix simplified its offense: clear a side, space the floor, and let Booker read the defense. That’s where the strategic impact appears. Booker’s scoring runs aren’t random heat checks; they’re momentum stabilizers. When Phoenix needs offensive order, Booker becomes both scorer and pressure valve.

For Suns fans, the location adds a layer of basketball mythology. Boston is where Booker authored one of the most unforgettable nights of the past decade. His 70-point explosion at TD Garden in 2017 was one of the performances that announced him to the basketball world. Nearly a decade later, another Celtics moment added to the narrative, proof that when the stage rises, Booker tends to answer. Although Phoenix dropped Monday night’s game to the Boston Celtics in a hard-fought battle by a score of 120-112, Devin Booker’s moment will stand out for years to come.
