Arizona State to host talented, DII running back out of transfer portal
Noah Carter, a former top-100 player and four-star recruit, entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He went in on Friday, following the Crimson Tide’s humbling loss to Indiana at the Rose Bowl. Carter, an Arizona native, initially chose Alabama over Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, and Louisville. He’s played in 14 career games, including 11 in 2025.
The 6-foot-4, 243-pounder collected nine tackles and two quarterback hurries.
Carter has marquee potential from Centennial High School, where he was a star on the football field. John Gambardo, a sports radio personality for Arizona Sports 98.7 FM in Phoenix, reported via X that Arizona State is targeting Carter.

The Sun Devils have a need at edge rusher and consider Carter a ‘home run get.’
He has three years of eligibility left, so Carter could make an immediate impact if he returns home.
