Arizona State University has a homegrown head coach who is the real deal. Kenny Dillingham, 35, has everyone’s attention as his sights are on the Sun Devils competing at a high level. After a rough first season in the Pac-12 in 2023, Dillingham has posted back-to-back winning seasons at ASU in the Big 12. He guided the program to a Big 12 Championship and a College Football Playoff berth in 2024, while putting this year’s team in the Sun Bowl versus Duke.
Former ASU safety urges Sun Devils to be all in on Kenny Dillingham
Dillingham’s name has been linked to the Michigan job opening, but he’s stood on business with his loyalty to ASU.
Graham Rossini, athletics director at Arizona State, knows he has the right leader for the program. Rossini is taking his time with getting resources and contract amendment in order for Dillingham because he wants it done right.
ASU AD Graham Rossini addressed the current circumstances between ASU and Kenny Dillingham and conversations to keep the two together on @BurnsAndGambo:

“I’m of the many thousands who agree that Kenny Dillingham is the right leader for our program,” Rossini said in an interview via Burns And Gambo. “Leadership matters. We have tremendous leadership in place under Coach…We’re working through it. We’re working through some details. It’s an exciting moment for our program.”
Rossini did not talk contracts, but he wants the fans to know he has their best interest and Dillingham’s best interest at heart.
ASU president feeling pressure to have Sun Devils compete at high level
Arizona State is jumping and Dillingham is the reason. Next season will be intriguing to see how the Sun Devils look.
