What could the 2025 Fiesta Bowl have in store for Glendale:

If the CFP bracket holds and both teams handle business in their first matchups, Glendale won’t just host another semifinal; it will host two of the biggest powerhouses in college football. What Valley sports fans would get to see is a matchup that would be more about supremacy, let alone getting a chance to see the No. 2 and No. 3-ranked best college football teams in the country.

State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, has hosted numerous events, including international soccer matches and the Super Bowl itself. Glendale has become the scene for numerous massive occasions that don’t just include must-see events, but a one-of-a-kind party as well. That atmosphere will grow ten times as much if Ohio State and Georgia end up facing off against each other. It could quite possibly be the biggest ‘Fiesta’ that this bowl has ever seen.

Emotionally, the stakes are heavier. Ohio State carries the weight of expectation; Georgia carries the burden of inevitability. That tension is what turns games into moments. The bracket makes it plausible, and the stakes could make it unforgettable. If Ohio State and Georgia reach Glendale, the CFP semifinal won’t just decide who makes the championship; it will surely be a historical matchup between two storied colleges.
