Mitchell, widely regarded as the top JUCO offensive tackle in the country, gives ASU a significant boost in its 2026 recruiting class. With offensive line depth a clear concern as the season winds down, his commitment reinforces the foundation the Sun Devils have been trying to build over the past few years.

According to Sun Devil Source’s Chris Karpman, this marks the first time Arizona State has ever landed the No. 1 junior-college prospect in any class ranked by 247Sports or other major recruiting outlets.
The flip also highlights ASU’s rising national profile and Tempe’s growing appeal as a destination for top-tier talent.
