GLENDALE – After starting Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was sidelined with a foot injury, many wondered how tight end Trey McBride’s production would be effected. Of all the outcomes, not many predicted for McBride’s number to improve. The Pro Bowler achieved a milestone that has evaded him throughout his short career, that being a two-touchdown game. In his 55 games, the 25-year-old has never recorded that mark, that was until Sunday.

In game number 56 vs. the Green Bay Packers, McBride would find the endzone twice in one game, as his chemistry with Brissett has proven to be better than ever.

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride (85) scores a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Oct. 19, 2025.

McBride’s first touchdown at the end of the 1st half:

Eight catches for 60 yards and two touchdowns is just another day in the office for McBride. In his first three seasons, he has had only six touchdown catches. In his two games with Brissett, he has half of that number with three, bringing his season total to a career-high four. Brissett has stated he is just trying to put the ball in the hands of his best weapons, and McBride has lived up to his part.

Since the 32-year-old backup has taken over, Arizona’s offense has come alive with much more explosive plays compared to the first five weeks. The Cardinals are having their best stretch of the season, despite the four-game losing streak, and if Brissett continues to feed McBride, then the offense will remain dominate.

Jacoby Brissett starting vs. Packers in Week 7 is blessing in disguise for Cardinals
