The drop, released on Tuesday, features a blend of Eilish’s street style mixed with 90s NBA nostalgia. The Suns’ version includes the classic bold orange and purple, with the team’s retro logo on the front. “BE,” Eilish’s initials, is embroidered on the side.

Phoenix players Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and Nick Richards were part of the promotion, with all three players wearing the hat.

Mitchell & Ness, known for its retro merchandise, has previously collaborated with artists such as Usher, Rihanna and Lil Wayne.

The hats are part of a movement by the NBA to shift into streetwear culture and music. The league wants to expand its reach beyond traditional sports audiences. Collaborating with an artist like Eilish brings more attention to the product and vice versa. Fashion partnerships help engage different consumers through crossovers that blend music, lifestyle and fandoms.

The collaboration is another step in merging sports with the broader world of entertainment and style, capitalizing on the growing popularity of sports fashion in recent years.
