Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon yells out to his team as they play the Seattle Seahawks at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, on Sept. 25, 2025.
Gannon Cardinals problems being fixable:
“We have to make sure that we’re all on the same page when we’re making calls at the line of scrimmage. That’s been good to us in the past, but it’s not where it needs to be right now. But very correctable. We got to make sure that we don’t have unblocked players that we think we have accounted for that are not accounted for.”

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon looks on from the sidelines during their game against the Carolina Panthers at State Farm Stadium on Sept 14, 2025.
In his three years with the franchise, Gannon has used his calm demeanor to straighten the ship went rough waters has hit the team. The lost of star running back James Conner could be enough for many teams to throw in the towel and complete shift up the gameplan.
Gannon and his staff, led by offensive coordinator Drew Petzing, are determined to stick to their identity offensively. The Cardinals’ offense was defined by their run game, which made them nearly a top 10 scoring offense the past two seasons.
Before the 2025 season, running back Trey Benson was viewed as a RB1 caliber player and the team will need him to be that without Conner. Gannon will need to work up a scheme for his new personnel to reach the levels that the offense reached in his first two years.
