GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals offense continues it’s struggles in the 23-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. Arizona scored three points and just barely had over 100 yards in total offense in a disgusting first half. The slow start fits a common trend for the team through the first four weeks of having bad offensive halves. In the first two games, the Cardinals scored three and seven points in the second half. Then, in Week 3 and 4, the offense had back-to-back three points first halves.

Murray on Cardinals offense not clicking:
“It wasn’t clicking. We were pretty much getting physically dominated the whole first half. It’s frustrating because you see the defense get stop after stop after stop and offensively we just couldn’t get it going. We just got to make plays. We got to show up and be ready to go. It’s like s— is just loading and taking too long. Obviously, the resilience of the team, you love to see it [and] give yourself a chance to win it at the end. But, it’s just too late.”

Arizona still hasn’t eclipsed 300 yards of total offense and have had four games of the offense scoring 20 points or less. In 2024, the Cardinals averaged 23.5 points per game, which ranked 11th in the NFL. Now, the team is hovering around 20th in the league in scoring.
The slow spurts by the offense, whether in the first or second half, had complete derailed every game this season. Murray wants his unit to put on a full four quarter performance and dominant opponents. The long break will help the seventh-year Cardinals quarterback and his offense watch the film and address the aspects holding the team back.
