GLENDALE – The top four wide receivers are locked up for the Arizona Cardinals. Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, Zay Jones and Greg Dortch will be the starting four wide receivers for the 2025 season, but there is a real conversation on which receiver claims the final spot on the 53-man roster. The WR5 slot is up for grabs to Simi Fehoko and Xavier Weaver, who have each have stellar preseason.

Fehoko makes 10-yard TD grab for Cardinals vs. Raiders:
Fehoko didn’t play in the preseason opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, but in the following two games against the Denver Broncos and Raiders, he found the endzone in both games. His 6’4, 225-pound frame gives Arizona a much-needed deep threat, while no receiver had much opportunity with deep balls, Fehoko showed the most potential in his reps.

Weaver signed as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and broke his nearly two-year touchdown skunk against the Chiefs this preseason. The 24-year-old made the 53-man roster last year but only appeared in two games and receiving two targets. Compared to Fehoko, Weaver is a more elusive, route-running receiver.
At the end of preseason, Weaver recorded five catches for 51 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Fehoko caught three balls for 31 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Weaver knows the offense better, but Fehoko’s size and deep ball contest might be enough for him to earn the spot.
