Facing a blistering 103.9 mph four-seam fastball, Gurriel Jr. not only kept pace with the pitch but launched it deep to left-center field 439 feet for a game-tying home run. It marked the fastest pitch ever homered on since pitch-tracking technology was introduced in 2008, an almost unthinkable feat.
