One of the biggest trade this offseason was Kevin Durant being shipped off the the Houston Rockets. During his Hall of Fame career, the 15-time All-Star only appeared in 145 games for the Phoenix Suns, but what a hectic time. The 36-year-old had a complicated history with the franchise but still showed love on his X account saying goodbye to the fans in the Valley.

Durant’s goodbye message to Suns’ fans:
Despite the rocky end to his time in Phoenix, Durant made some legendary moments rocking the purple and orange. The most notorious being joining the 30,000-point club this past season, being only the eighth player in NBA history to record that mark. Durant is in the twilight of his legendary career but is still one of the premier scorers in the league, averaging 26.8 points on 52.7% shooting in his time with the Suns.

The Suns initially traded for the former MVP in 2023 to try and ignite a light within the roster to make it back to the NBA Finals. However, injuries and questionable roster moves hindered the Devin Booker-Durant led Suns to achieve that mark, only making it to the second round. The lack of playoff success and the current state of the team, will leave a sour taste in the fans’ mouth for Durant’s time in Arizona.
