PHOENIX – The Kevin Durant trade between the Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets continue to expand. According to NBA Insider Marc Stein and Jake Fischer, trades from across the league are joining together to make one massive seven-team trade, the largest in NBA history. General manager Brian Gregory has made plenty of trades so far this offseason with multiple of teams, and since the trades don’t become official until Jan. 6th, more teams are joining the seven-team trade.

Suns a part of seven-team trade:

The teams involved are the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Rockets, and Suns. In this trade, the Suns traded Durant to Rockets and two second round picks to each the Warriors, Nets and Timberwolves. The return package in total will be Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and the draft rights to Khaman Maluach, Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea with two additional second round picks.

The trade could still expand, as the deadline would be this Sunday to finalize the details of the deal to avoid any setbacks money-wise. It isn’t atypical for trades of this nature to expand with multiple teams. However, this will be the most expansive case in NBA history. Even after the trade becomes officially, Gregory is likely not done trying to improve the roster next season, with the team still over the second apron.
