GLENDALE – The excitement around the Valley is palatable after a stellar free agency and draft period by the Arizona Cardinals. General manager Monti Ossenfort entered his third offseason with the franchise with the most cap space and went to work. Ossenfort signed Pro Bowlers like edge Josh Sweat and DT Calais Campbell to buff up the defense.

The organization was then one of the biggest winners of the 2025 draft, getting multiple high-level defensive talents, like DT Walter Nolen and Will Johnson. Expectations and hope are sky-high for this Arizona team entering the 2025 season, including for linebacker Mack Wilson.

Wilson on Cardinals jump next season:

“I feel like we have no ceiling,” Wilson said. “It’s been dope to see Monti [Ossenfort] go to work and just the key additions he’s made. I feel like it’s been key to what we’re gonna be able to build off of this season. We did a great job of just getting everything we need.”

Wilson spoke to The Arizona Republic at his fourth annual charity basketball game, where he highlighted Ossenfort’s superb moves for the team. Last year was Wilson’s first year with the franchise, where he recorded 75 tackles and four tackles for loss. As the 27-year-old linebackers stated, the Cardinals’ defense dealt with a plethora of injuries that made them fall just short of the postseason.

The organization ensures that won’t happen again, getting impressive depth for the upcoming season for the defensive end. Arizona’s offense will likely remain one of the best running teams in the entire NFL. If the team can stay healthy, Wilson is correct about the Cardinals having “no ceiling” for 2025.
