Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Croskey-Merritt had an amazing breakout season with the Wildcats, after spending a majority of his collegiate career at Alabama State before transferring to New Mexico and finishing his last year in Tempe. At 5-foot-11, 208 pounds, he is known for his slippery running style and explosiveness. His most notable season was with the Lobos where he tallied 1.190 yards from 189 carries and 17 touchdowns.
His willingness to run through contact and move through defenders put on Washington’s radar, all combined with his physicality and balance will help him thrive. With the addition of Croskey-Merritt, the Commanders add more depth in their back field, where he will compete for playing time alongside some established veterans.
His selection adds to successful weekend for the Wildcats, as he becomes the third Arizona player to hear his name called, joining Tetairoa McMillan and Jonah Savaiinaea. Croskey-Merritt will look to impress during Washington’s training camp and preseason, as he takes the next steps in his football journey.
