The D-Backs will be rolling their Opening Day starter Zac Gallen out to face the star studded New York Yankee Offense. Gallen’s first outing of 2025 wasn’t too kind for him, as he only had 4 innings pitched with 4 hits and 4 earned runs. Gallen, throwing just 83 pitches in his first outing, only landed 43 for strikes. Although, Gallen has proven he has what it takes to beat this Yankee ball club. He boasts a 2-0 record with an 0.00 ERA in two starts against New York.

Carlos Rodón will be getting the nod today from the Yankees, as he looks to replicate his great game against the Milwaukee Brewers. He only allowed one run, four hits, and two walks over his 5.1 innings pitched and also struck out seven. Rodón on the other hand, has not fared well against the D-Backs. In six starts over his career, he has a record of 0-3, an ERA of 5.18 and including five home runs.

The D-Backs will look to continue their momentum of Eugenio Suárez’s grand slam into Wednesday’s matchup, as they look to take the series lead early in their first away series of the season. With Rodón being a left-handed pitcher, it will be the usual suspects in the Snakes lineup. D-Backs fans are sure to keep an eye out for Randal Grichuk, who has New York’s number, as well as Ketel Marte who might be feeling himself after signing a massive contract extension earlier today.
