PHOENIX — Phoenix Suns starting big man Nick Richards was downgraded to out with right calf tightness ahead of their matchup against the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers. The athletic center tweaked something during his pregame warmup and limped off the floor, according to Duane Rankin.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Richards joins Grayson Allen, who came into the game listed questionable with a nagging left foot strain, Bradley Beal (left hamstring strain) and Mason Plumlee (left quadriceps strain) as Phoenix’s main rotation players out against the Cavs. Vasa Micic (illness) was also downgraded to out pregame; he hadn’t been on the injury report heading into the game.
With Richards and Plumlee officially out, Oso Ighodaro is joining Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Ryan Dunn and Collin Gillespie in the starting lineup. Ighodaro and Bol Bol are the only true big men remaining on the Suns’ roster Friday night.
