A championship run wouldn’t be possible without key players and talent.  Arizona’s Wildcats Caleb Love, Jaden Bradley, and Motiejus Kriva are expected to play crucial roles in the Wildcats’ success. Their leadership and skill will be key factors as they play through the tournament’s toughest matchups.

The Wildcats kick off their March Madness first round against Akron in Seattle. While it’s a tough matchup, Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd remains confident in his team’s preparation and keeps a positive mindset.

What GCU’s coach said about facing NBA talent in NCAA Tournament

Lloyd said, “It’s a great sign of respect from the NCAA. I’m really proud of our guys and how we hung in there. I think it shows the strength of our conference and the challenges we faced. … We’re excited to get to Seattle. We’ve got Akron on our mind.”

This first-round game is more  meaningful for Coach Tommy Lloyd, who is from Seattle. Additionally, he has a long history with Akron’s head coach John Groce, going back to their coaching days at Illinois and Gonzaga.

Lloyd adds, “I know Coach (John) Groce. He’s been around for a long time. I played against him back in the day when he was at Illinois and I was at Gonzaga…. He’s a well-respected coach who’s done a great job. Looking at their stats, they get up and down, they shoot the three, and I know he’s always been a creative coach.”

With high expectations, key players stepping up, and Coach Lloyd’s leadership, the Wildcats are set to make another show out in their game for this NCAA Tournament  run. Will this be the year Arizona claims the championship?
