PHOENIX — Phoenix Suns coach Mike Budenholzer spoke to the media following their 122-106 win over the Sacramento Kings where Ryan Dunn and Oso Ighodaro let their presence felt all night.
Dunn finished the night with 16 points, five rebounds (two offensive), three assists and a career-high four steals in 33 minutes. He and Ighodaro implored each other to match energies while on the floor and it proved beneficial. Ighodaro was a game-high plus-23 while on the floor to go along with 11 points, six rebounds and a blocked shot in 32 minutes.
The rookies exchanged emphatic slam dunks all throughout the game that gave Phoenix the energy it needed to pull out the win against Sacramento and spark energy from the PHX Arena crowd.
Phoenix (31-36) now sits 1½ games behind the Dallas Mavericks (33-35) for the 10th seed and finals West play-in spot. Up next is a road game against the LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. MDT.
