PHOENIX – With the NBA trade deadline less than a week away, the Phoenix Suns have been one of the busiest teams making two trades. The first was trading their 2031st first-round pick unprotected for three first-round picks from the Utah Jazz and then trading forward Josh Okogie for center Nick Richards from the Charlotte Hornets.

Phoenix’s acquisition of the three 1st rounders from Jazz illustrated that the possibility of acquiring Butler is close.
Despite that, according to National NBA insider Brett Siegel, the Suns are losing confidence in a potential Butler deal because of guard Bradley Beal’s unlikeness to waive his no-trade clause.
For full context on this:
The Suns still want Butler, and I've made that clear. However, Beal hasn't signaled that he will waive his no-trade clause, and no real scenario has developed for him to do so.
Unless the Suns can move Beal, they can't get Butler. https://t.co/ShUMq1SRsB

There are a dozen trade scenarios and three-team trades that could land the Suns Butler, but all require Beal to waive his no-trade clause to do so. Beal would likely end up in Miami, or rumors suggest even the Chicago Bulls or Milwaukee Bucks, which he reportedly is not interested in.

Beal is one of two NBA players in the league’s history to have a no-trade clause, and as of now, is the last hurdle for the Suns if they want to trade for Butler before the February 6th trade deadline. However, Phoenix could pivot and find another potential trade to improve the roster, which you could read more about below.
