Penn State head coach James Franklin, tight end Tyler Warren and safety Zakee Wheatley all reacted to the Nittany Lions winning 31-14 over Boise State.
With two touchdowns from six receptions and 63 yards, Warren was Fiesta Bowl MVP. Wheatley was one of three Penn State defenders with an interception on Boise State quarterback Maddux Madsen, and was named the Fiesta Bowl Defensive MVP of the game.
Drew Allar completed 13-of-25 passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns. Linebacker Kobe King and Defensive end Amin Vanover both forced a fumble each on Broncos superstar running back Ashton Jeanty.
Franklin, Warren and Wheatley all spoke on how they didn’t take Boise State lightly, praising the defense stepping up on Jeanty, playing complementary football and more after advancing to the College Football Playoff semifinals.
