In a matchup of two programs with storied success in the Fiesta Bowl, only one team will come out victorious. Penn State is 7-0 and Boise State is 3-0 in the bowl game, with Oklahoma State (3-0) the only other undefeated school that has made at least three appearances.

Coming off a bye, Boise State will look to continue its dominant season into the CFP with a win. Led by star running back Ashton Jeanty, the Broncos went 12-1 this season, were 7-0 in the Mountain West and won the conference championship over UNLV. Their lone loss was to the Big 10 champion Oregon by a field goal, 37-34.

Finishing second in the Big 10, Penn State has its eyes set on continuing its rich history in the Fiesta Bowl. Demolishing SMU 38-10 in the first round of the College Football Playoff, the Nittany Lions improved to 12-2 on the season and rebounded after just falling short 45-37 to Oregon in the Big 10 championship.

On Tuesday, it will be the first-ever CFP quarterfinal between Penn State and Boise State. The Fiesta Bowl kick-off commences at 5:30 p.m. MST inside State Farm Stadium in Glendale. It will be televised on ESPN.
