Twelve-year NBA veteran Patrick Beverley has spent the 2024-25 season away from the NBA and playing in the Israeli Basketball Premier League for Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C. When asked the one team he’d like to play for if he were to return to the NBA, his answer was the Phoenix Suns.

The much maligned, scrappy, defensive guard was a guest with N3on, a live streamer/content creator on Kick, in an IRL (in real life) livestream. The young streamer as they were sitting down and talking asked Beverley a simple question.

If you could play for any team right now, who would you play for?

After a brief pause to think, Beverley answered, “the Phoenix Suns.”

“I’ve played with a bunch of superstars,” Beverley added. “And I would like to see how Bradley Beal, Devin Booker and (Kevin Durant) prepare.”

Among the various big names that the former Houston Rocket, Los Angeles Clipper, Minnesota Timberwolf, Los Angeles Laker, Chicago Bull, Philadelphia 76er and Milwaukee Buck played for, some of the more notable ones include LeBron James (LAL), James Harden (HOU), Joel Embiid (PHI) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL), just to name a few. The guard would like to add the Suns’ Big Three to his resume.

Beverley has played 17 games with Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C. and is averaging 11.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. His squad is currently in first place of the IBPL with a 9-1 record in league play.

Beverley, like many estranged NBA players, is always looking for a way to get back into the league. In his finals season in the association with the Philadelphia 76rs (47 games) and Milwaukee Bucks (26 games), he averaged 6.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 20.0 minutes per game.
