Predicting ASU’s CFP ranking and matchup

The second to last College Football Playoff rankings are set to be released Tuesday night ahead of championship weekend. After another upset filled weekend, this is what I’m expecting the playoff seeds to look like:

1. Oregon
2. Texas
3. SMU
4. Boise St.
5. Penn St.
6. Notre Dame
7. Georgia
8. Ohio St.
9. Tennessee
10. Indiana
11. Alabama
12. Arizona St.

If this were the final seeding, then the Sun Devils would travel to play Penn State in the first round, setting up a potential second round matchup at Boise State. ASU still has a chance to improve their ranking when they play Iowa State in the Big 12 Championship on Saturday in Arlington.
