Arizona State Football is getting “Closer” to playing in the Big 12 championship, and the Sun Devils can’t be “Mad” about who will be performing at halftime.
The Big 12 Conference announced that grammy-award winning artist NE-YO will be the 2024 Dr. Pepper Big 12 Championship halftime performer on Saturday, Dec. 7 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“We are thrilled to welcome NE-YO as the 2024 Football Championship halftime performer,” Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark said via press release. “The Big 12 continues to infuse culture and entertainment into our league’s biggest moments, balancing it with the traditions that make college athletics so special.”
According to the Big 12 Conference press release sent out Tuesday, bringing on NE-YO is a part of the conference’s initiative to “balance innovation with tradition.”
“I’m honored to be named the halftime performer for this year’s Big 12 Football Championship for a special celebration of music, sports and entertainment,” NE-YO said via press release. “The atmosphere is going to be electric, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch how we integrate the marching bands into the performance for an unforgettable show.”
NE-YO is a three-time Grammy award-winning artist. He has two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and has generated over 23 billion streams. His 2011 hit “Give Me Everything” with Afrojack and Pitbull was certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2014.
NE-YO and ASU’s spots in the Big 12 championship are secured, and expect both to put on a show when they hit the stage.
The Sun Devils take on No. 16 Iowa State in the Big 12 Championship at 10 a.m. PST/1 p.m. EST on Saturday, Dec. 7 on ABC. Tickets can be purchased at SeatGeek.
