ASU is up 21-14 on the road against Oklahoma State and while the game was pushed from a 4 p.m. AZT start to 12:30 p.m. to avoid the nasty weather surrounding Stillwater, Okla., the clouds are coming in and lightning is in the area.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! As a result of lightning strikes being within six miles of Boone Pickens Stadium, the game has to be suspended for at least 30 minutes because of NCAA rules. Both teams were just about to take the field for the second half until the delay was announced.
Oklahoma State came out with a statement on X/Twitter:
“Thunderstorms with lightning are in the area and we are suspending until further notice.”

Arizona State has had three leads in a game that has been evenly matched before the break. Cam Skattebo has scored two touchdowns, collected two receptions for 61 yards and 80 rushing yards from 16 carries. Justin Wodtly was ejected for apparently spitting on an Oklahoma State player before both teams recorded two touchdowns in the second quarter.
It remains unknown when the game will resume.
What does ASU have to do to preserve lead over Oklahoma State?
