When someone graduates from high school, they decide whether or not they want to go to college. For those who decide to further their athletic career past grades 9-12, a minor percentage of those will make the jump to college, and even a smaller portion of that will compete at the Division I level for a major university.

This year, there are 132 student-athletes representing ASU from the 26 athletic programs that the school has to offer from local high schools. To show how significant that is, there are over 181,000 students enrolled at Arizona State this year.
It is an honor and privilege to represent not just the college itself, but the state as a whole on a massive stage. Every Division I program has the chance to compete against other highly-accredited universities around the state and can take home prestigious honors year in and year out.
Wearing gold and maroon means a lot to the student-athletes who want to set an example of what it means to get a high-level education simultaneously with playing the best of the best collegiately.
