The 26-year-old Tagovailoa, who has a history of head injuries, suffered the concussion after a nasty collision in Miami’s 31-10 Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills and was then placed on injured reserve. Miami has struggled since, going 1-3 in his absence.
Prayers for Tua Tagovailoa. Note his right hand balling into a fist and his arm going straight in the air. That's posturing and a sign of loss of consciousness and a #concussion. Certainly out for the game. So sad. pic.twitter.com/e6wYIDVaZa

Tagovailoa, now in his fifth NFL season, connected on 23-of-37 passes for 338 yards and a touchdown in his only complete game of the season, a 20-17 win over Jacksonville in Week 1. Tagovailoa practiced fully on Thursday, while Miami’s top-two wide receivers Tyreek Hill (foot) and Jaylen Waddle (quad) were notably among six Dolphins limited in practice.
