Daniels has had an incredible start to his NFL career after being drafted No. 2 overall in April. In the win over the Bengals, Daniels broke the record for the highest completion percentage by a rookie quarterback at 91.3%, as he connected on 21 of his 23 throws for 254 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 39 yards and a touchdown.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Daniels won the Heisman Trophy last season at LSU after throwing for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns, and rushing for 1,134 yards sand 10 touchdowns. He transferred to the Tigers in 2022 after three seasons at ASU, where he played in 29 total games. For his Sun Devil career, Daniels recorded 6,024 passing yards and 32 passing touchdowns and rushed for 1,288 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Perhaps more notably than Daniels, former Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury will be making his return to Arizona this week as Washington’s offensive coordinator. Kingsbury, who coached the Cardinals for four seasons from 2019-22, is off to a pretty good start to his career as an NFL coordinator with Daniels leading the offense.
No team in the Super Bowl era has done what the #Commanders just did: two consecutive games with ZERO turnovers and ZERO punts.

In Week 3, Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker was in attendance at State Farm Stadium to see his Detroit Lions defeat the Cardinals (1-2) 20-13. Could Kevin Durant be in the crowd this Sunday to cheer on his hometown Commanders and Daniels, who he has called “the KD of college football?”
