According to NBA insider Chris Haynes on X, “Free agent wing Nassir Little has reached an agreement on a one-year deal with the Miami Heat, league source tells me.”

Little was waived by the Suns on Aug. 21 and since reportedly worked out for the Heat, Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings.

The Suns acquired Little from the Portland Trail Blazers along with Jusuf Nurkić and Grayson Allen (from the Milwaukee Bucks) in a three-team trade that sent Deandre Ayton to the Blazers on Sept. 27, 2023. The 24-year-old, 6-foot-6 wing only played in 45 games in his first season in Phoenix, averaging 3.4 points and 1.7 rebounds and not seeing much meaningful minutes since December.

Little will join another talented roster in Miami and look to compete for minutes in a crowded forward room with the likes of Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, Jaime Jacquez Jr., Haywood Highsmith, Nikola Jovic, Josh Richardson, rookie Pelle Larsson and others.
