Kyler Murray did something he and a majority of quarterbacks have never achieved in their careers in Sunday’s 41-10 onslaught of the Los Angeles Rams.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!With his stat line of completing 17-of-21 passes (81%) for 266 yards and three touchdowns, Murray became the second Cardinals quarterback ever and 65th player in NFL history to achieve a perfect passer rating of 158.3. The other Cardinal to finish with a perfect passer rating was Kurt Warner back on Sept. 14, 2008, when he had 361 passing yards and three touchdowns, connecting on 19-of-24 of his throws.
“He was lights out,” coach Jonathan Gannon said of Murray postgame. “He’s a premium player for a reason. I’d take him against anybody. That’s how I feel. That’s what he did today.”

Passer rating is calculated using five variables: pass attempts, completions, passing yards, touchdown passes and interceptions. Murray is the first quarterback to record a perfect passer rating this season after his historic performance.

Murray not only was extremely accurate, but dazzled with a lot of highlight throws and added five rushes for 59 yards.
Kyler Murray completed every one of his five deep passes (20+ air yards) for 156 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Rams. The probability of Murray completing all five of his deep attempts was just 0.3%.

As a team, the Cardinals outgained Los Angeles 489-245 in total yards and scored a touchdown on their first three offensive possessions, while their defense did not allow a single first down for the Rams during this span.
After the game, Murray posted a yawning emoji on X (formerly Twitter).
