Gino Groover, drafted in the second round of the 2023 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks, was named to MLB Pipeline’s Prospect Team of the Week after recording 11 hits across two different teams.

Currently ranked as the Diamondbacks’ #9 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline, Groover began the week with a three-hit game for the Hillsboro Hops, including two home runs and five RBIs. The 23-year-old infielder followed that performance with a three-run homer the next day, marking his sixth home run of the season.
On Friday, after hitting his fourth home run in four games during a 2-for-2 day at the plate, Groover was promoted to Double-A with the Amarillo Sod Poodles. In his Double-A debut, Groover went 4-for-5, collecting three singles and a double.
Groover finished the week going 11-20 overall, posting an impressive 1.493 OPS.
