In Tuesday’s segment of Good Morning Football, NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt shared his predictions for the upcoming NFL playoffs. While most of Brandt’s picks were unsurprising, given that a majority of the team’s made the playoffs last season, the Arizona Cardinals stood out as the shocker.

Brandt confidently stated that Murray “is going to become a star,” and concluded with, “the Arizona Cardinals are going to grab one of these Wild Cards in the NFC.”

As for Brandt’s AFC picks, he has all the same teams returning from last season, except for the Los Angeles Chargers replacing the Cleveland Browns. This means, between the AFC and NFC, Brandt predicts only three new teams in the playoffs—the Atlanta Falcons, the Chargers, and the Cardinals—making Arizona’s inclusion as a Wild Card even more surprising.
In Brandt’s predictions, three teams from the NFC West make the playoffs, with the 49ers and Rams joining the Cardinals.
As the season approaches, Arizona’s playoff odds on DraftKings Sportsbook stand at +300. For context, only four other teams have worse odds than the Cardinals.
