PHOENIX — Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups went viral yesterday after telling a story of a player posting a highlight of his dunk at halftime down 18 points on the 7PM in Brooklyn Podcast with Carmelo Anthony and The Kid Mero.

“We in New Orleans, and we’re down like 18 at the half,” Billups said. “I had a kid, he had a nasty dunk. We coming out for the third quarter, this m—– f—– done posted his dunk on his joint at halftime.

“Man, you know I grinded his a– up. I get wind of it. I said, ‘Aye yo bro, get the f— back there and take that s— down off your joint. What the f— is wrong with you, man?’ (The player responded): ‘My bad coach. My bad.'”

The Internet was convinced this unnamed player was now-Phoenix Suns forward Nassir Little after looking back through stats and highlights of the game. Little played his first four seasons in Portland from 2019-23 before he was traded to Phoenix in the Deandre Ayton deal last September.

Little took to X today to clear up that it wasn’t him:

I have never posted a highlight during a game in my life. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. Also friends, you may not be as smart as you think, don’t trust all you see on the internet.”

Little played in 45 games in his first season in Phoenix, averaging a career-low 3.4 points.
