Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker did not fill up the stat sheet for Team USA in today’s 105-79 exhibition win over Serbia, but did a lot of the little things.
Booker came off the bench for the second straight game, playing alongside a unit of Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards, Bam Adebayo and Anthony Davis the majority of the game. Booker’s Suns teammate Kevin Durant missed his third consecutive game with a calf strain and still has not played for Team USA with only two more exhibitions to go before the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Booker did not have as much of a scoring role with this bench unit, as he did when he scored 16 points in Monday’s 98-92 win over Australia, but did play good defense. He did not record a single stat in the first half, other than a personal foul.
Booker’s first and only points of the game came in the third quarter on a 3-pointer to give the U.S. a 76-55 lead. He also showed a great passing ability in the second half, setting up several good looks either on swing passes off dribble penetration or direct assists.

Booker finished with three points on 1-of-3 shooting (1-of-2 from 3), one assist and was tied for second on the team with a +21 plus/minus in 16 minutes.
Team USA will now travel to London for its last two exhibition games ahead of the Olympics and plays next on Saturday at 12 p.m. MST against South Sudan. The game will be televised on FOX.
