Kevin Durant reveals true height while calling out USA teammates

Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant is not backing down from his claim of how tall he is, despite a confusing Team USA photo that contradicted his statement.

In this team photo, Durant, who was listed at 6-foot-11 this past season, was standing next to Joel Embiid (listed at 7-foot), Anthony Davis (listed at 6-foot-10) and Bam Adebayo (listed at 6-foot-9) and looked slightly taller than all three.

However, on the Up and Adams Show today with Kay Adams, Durant said his listed height was wrong and so were his USA teammates.

“I guess those guys might be shorter than what their numbers say,” Durant said. “I’m 6-9, though. So it looks like Bam Adebayo is probably 6-8, instead of 6-10, and AD is probably 6-9, you know? So they probably adding a little more to their height, while I’m keeping mine at the same. I’m not lying about my height.”

When Adams asked about his height in comparison to Embiid, Durant responded with: “Yeah, Embiid’s not 7-feet.”

Many fans believe Durant is 7-feet tall, but he will never say he’s a 7-footer. Back in January after a game against the Indiana Pacers, Durant said he is 6-foot-10.

“I’m just not going to lie because I’m not 7-feet,” Durant said then. “I got long arms, so it may look like it, and I can guard 7-footers sometimes, but no I’m 6-10.”

Based on the Team USA photo, it is pretty clear that someone is lying. Durant is holding true to his word though, even if he took an inch off his height from just six months ago.
