Per Jesse Friedman at PHNX Sports, Moreno might be available off the bench, and Jose Herrera will start at catcher.
Since returning from the IL with a wrist injury on July 2nd, Moreno has gone 11-for-28 at the plate, including three multi-hit games.
Tonight will be just Jose Herrera’s fifth start of the season. Herrera was recalled from Triple-A Reno when the Diamondbacks designated Tucker Barnhart for assignment.
The Diamondbacks are currently trailing the Braves 2-0 in their four-game series. Despite holding a 3-1 lead heading into the 9th inning, Atlanta snuck away with a win in the series opener. The Braves then knocked out Zac Gallen late on Wednesday, resulting in a 6-2 win.
Arizona will have Slade Cecconi on the mound, facing off against Charlie Morton of the Braves.
