The Mercury will be giving away special Pride Fanny Packs throughout the day.
“Pride is a celebration of love, acceptance, and inclusivity. For Pride Day [Sunday], we’re giving away these Pride Fanny Packs!”
Phoenix is home to six LGBTQ+ members, the most across the WNBA. This list includes Natasha Cloud, Kahleah Copper, Brittney Griner, Natasha Mack, Sug Sutton, and Diana Taurasi.
Griner, Copper and Cloud joined the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday to throw the first pitch. This was in honor of the Diamondbacks’ pride night.
The Mercury host the Storm on Sunday at noon. Seattle is home to four LGBTQ+ members, including Jewell Loyd, Jordan Horston, Sami Whitcomb, and Victoria Vivians.
