In the final week of April, Yu-Min Lin took a line drive to the face while in the dugout for the Amarillo Sod Poodles in Double-A. The 20-year-old from Taiwan recently made his first rehab start in the Arizona Complex League.

Before heading to the IL, he had posted a 7.00 ERA over four starts. In 2023, Lin finished the season with back-to-back starts of six innings or more, allowing a combined two earned runs. His best start last season came on June 6th when he struck out 13 batters in five shutout innings.
Coming off a strong 2023, Yu-Min Lin set ambitious goals for himself this season. Despite being in Double-A, he is focused on reaching the major leagues this year, stating, “I want to go to the big leagues this year, for sure. I mean, I got Double-A, and now there’s just one more level to go. I’m getting close.”

Lin was signed by the Diamondbacks in 2021 for a modest $525K. Operating from a 3/4 arm slot, his fastball reaches up to 90 MPH. Additionally, Lin possesses a solid arsenal of off-speed pitches, including a curveball, slider, and changeup.
