Jusuf Nurkić responds after he catches a stray from Draymond Green

The Jusuf Nurkić and Draymond Green feud has continued, as the two once again took shots at each other.

Last night on an appearance on TNT’s Inside the NBA, Green said that the “the Suns have no big man … KD (Kevin Durant) is the Suns’ big man. They got no big man.” Green said this in response to Charles Barkley talking about the Minnesota Timberwolves big men and how they played in their first-round sweep over Phoenix.

The 7-foot, 290-pound Nurkić, who started all four games at center in the playoffs and 76 in the regular season for Phoenix, took offense to this comment, posting on X (formerly Twitter) that “I see that brother still needs help. STILL (crying emoji) ABOUT KD, he don’t like #drayover (laughing emoji)”

Nurkić has had a lot of back-and-forth moments with Green this season after Green was ejected for striking him with a blow to the face on Dec. 12.

After this, Nurkić infamously said “that brother needs help” in reference to Green. A few days later, Green was issued an indefinite suspension.

The next Suns vs. Warriors matchup on Feb. 12, the two shared some intense moments with each other.

After the game, Nurkić had some choice words for Green.

“It’s sad,” Nurkić said. “He didn’t learn anything. Just a matter of time, he’s going to hit somebody else again. Take back everything I said. He don’t deserve a chance.”

Nurkić followed up with what he thought Green was doing.

“Just antics,” Nurkić said. “Trying to hit people, the stuff he shouldn’t do. But I don’t care, at the end of the day he can try to play that way, but (I) don’t worry about that.”

In response to the in-game incidents and Nurkić’s postgame comments, Green called Nurkić a “nothing defender” and a “dummy.” He added that “quiet guys don’t win.”

Then, their beef carried over to social media the next day. During this part of the feud, Green also made some comments about what Durant said about Green’s original dust-up with Nurkić.

“You go and question somebody’s character in front of the whole word?” Green said. “That’s whack. I think they’re all whack, both of them (Durant and Nurkić).”

Nurkić fired off some tweets when the Warriors were eliminated from the play-in on April 16.

Green did not let Nurkić live these tweets down when the Suns were swept.

On The Draymond Green Show, Green called Nurkić a “big softie” and believed he didn’t make a substantial impact in the first round. Nurkić fell on the wrong side of NBA history with the sweep, as his career playoff record dropped to 3-17, the worst of any player with 20 or more games of playoff experience.

“Unfortunately, that is all folks,” Green said. “The tweet may have spoiled even faster from the big softie. Yeah, that is all folks. So you know, you got to be really careful when you’re not that successful and you try to take jabs at people. When you don’t play a large enough role in your team’s success. When you can’t really affect the outcome of the game like you can have 20 rebounds and lose a game… The big softie bowed out.”

This never-ending saga continues and the two should see a lot more of each other on the court next season. Green will also be on Inside the NBA tonight, so we will see if he makes any more comments then.
