According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, free agent receiver Zay Jones will reportedly visit Arizona today.

“Former Jaguars WR Zay Jones is visiting the Cardinals today,” Schultz said. “Jones, who was cut after the draft, has already met with the [Tennessee] Titans and has a few other teams showing interest. His market has been heating up.”

The Cardinals are looking to add depth at wideout after Marquise Brown signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency while Rondale Moore was traded to the Atlanta Falcons.

As the current makeup of Arizona’s receiver room, Harrison Jr., Chris Moore, Zach Pascal, Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, Dan Chisena, Jeff Smith, Andre Baccellia and Daniel Arias are on the roster. Kaden Davis was released by the Cards and Xavier Weaver signed as an undrafted free agent last Tuesday.

Jones originally spent four seasons (2013-16) at East Carolina before being a second-round (37th overall) pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. The Texas native played two full seasons (2017-18) with the Bills until he was traded in 2019 to the Oakland (now Las Vegas) Raiders in exchange for a 2021 fifth-round pick.

When he was a free agent in 2022, Jones inked a three-year, $24 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. But with just one year left on the deal, Jacksonville released the 29-year-old last Tuesday.

So far in the NFL, Jones has played 104 games (67 starts), collecting 287 receptions for 3,028 yards and scoring 18 touchdowns. Last year, he suited up for nine games (seven starts) and accumulated 321 receiving yards from 34 catches and two touchdowns for the Jaguars.

Already visiting the Titans on Monday, there will be a host of other interested teams looking to sign him.

If news comes out about if Jones does sign with the Cardinals, Burn City Sports will keep you informed.
