Diamondbacks Face Injuries and Inconsistency as Fans Voice Concerns Over Season Slump

Over their last three games, the Arizona Diamondbacks have been outscored 28-1. Since April 24th, they have gone 2-7, which has dropped their season record to 14-20.

Compiling their inconsistency problems on offense, they have faced significant injuries to their starting rotation, with Eduardo Rodriguez and Merrill Kelly currently on the 60-day IL.

Not to mention the injuries that have affected their bullpen, with closer Paul Sewald yet to make an appearance, plus Kyle Nelson, Ryne Nelson, and Miguel Castro on the injured list.

Following a 13-1 blowout loss to the Padres, fans have understandably begun to voice serious concerns about the Diamondbacks‘ chances of rebounding this season.

While high expectations can be beneficial, Arizona’s unexpected World Series run last year certainly set a high bar, creating a ripe environment for disappointment.
