In 39 minutes played, Horne finished with 20 points and six rebounds on 8-of-21 shooting from the field. The former Sun Devil was one of just two Wolfpack players with double-digit points during the loss.
Horne helped lead a 13-4 run bringing the Wolfpack back into the game in the first half. However, Zach Edey and the Boilermakers (34-4) overwhelmed NC State as they’ve done to every opponent over the last two weeks.
The 6-foot-1 sharpshooting guard spent two seasons starting at ASU before transferring to North Carolina State. Current Arizona State head coach Bobby Hurley praised his former player ahead of Saturday’s matchup.

While his return to the Valley was short-lived, Horne will forever be remembered for this run. The NC native helped bring the Wolfpack to their first Final Four appearance in over 40 years.
After defeating all odds as the No. 11 seed and putting together a magical Cinderella run, NC State was unable to become the first double-digit seed to reach the NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship.
